thankyou reg, and everyone for you're words! I will go look at this link right now. again ty! 3 days, I feel a litttle cloudy, aggravated and cry for no reason, but eveything takes dedication and time and I am not going to make any excuses for myself, come here on a daily basis when I start drinking which is 5 or 6 pm and second for my beautiful 3 yr old son, my family but most of all ME! =))
Hello everyone, ty for you're support and kind words. I would like to give my week update whichi am happy to say..... I have not touched a drink in a week! I feel great and ty to all of you that are helping me. I know I have a long journey but I can honestly say after 1 week with being sober I am happy to be posting. I will say my head feels a bit cloudy sometimes and some other symptoms but, so worth it. I have not been this alert in a long time and it feels great! =)) I can honestly tell you all that I had no idea what being sober was like for a long time and it feels great! Again, ty you all SR friends.

Well done on one week sober amarz.
I know the feeling. It truly is amazing to have the feel good neuro-chemicals return after discontinuing a substance that has depressed them for so long in active addiction.
I thought I would add a couple recovery resources for your consideration. SMART Recovery has some very useful recovery tools and here at SR there is a thread with helpful articles about addiction.

Excellent!
Hang in there and things will continue to get better and better. I look back on my drinking days and wonder how I ever did it..... I hope you continue to post and read - checking in daily has really helped me keep sobriety front and center.
Congratulations on one week!
