Don't know what to do or who to talk to

Hi I am lost already and just getting started. Everything I have ready so far is about alcholism. My issue is script drugs, using as prescribed by tired of being sick and tired. I have been on pain meds of some sort for over 13 years without creasing. Recently went to BOY what a fat lazy failure I felt like. I thought about this for a few months and then started to cut back on the oxycontin, neurontin, lexapro, and tiazanidine. This past Wednesday I stopped all meds. Since thenI have had dirraha, stomache cramps, FREEZING etc. Today Is Monday and I need to know it is going to get better soon. Funny thing the pain that made it hard to even put on a coat last week isn't present. Any help or advise more than welcome.

Hi,

There are many people on our boards who are addicted to prescribed drugs, so you are not alone.

I wonder if you talked to your dr before stopping the drugs?

Others will be along who can give you more information.

I'm not surprised that you are feeling bad after just stopping all of those meds... any one of those can cause problems when you just suddenly stop... much less all of them.

Have a physician help you off of them safely and comfortably!

Welcome to SR...

Thank you so much for all of the replies. Just got cleaned up and changed clothes (again).
Part of my post didn't print. I had been to a new dr. (my request) hopeing to fix my lower back. The new dr was the one that "suggested" loosing 100 lbs and going off narcotics. I went the next week to the pain clinic and talked to the Dr there who stated that he thought that I needed to see another Dr. (someone HE knew) but if I wanted to cut down, just cut out a little at a time. The Friend Dr said to just take the meds like my blood pressure med and not to worry about it. I then cut back all of the drugs but continued taking the oxy and nurontin. Still feel poorly but will not go back to taking the meds. Called my primary dr and he STILL hasn't called back. Thanks again for all that have posted!
