Smile Day 2

Hi All,

Just wanted to update...this is one of my harder detoxes, although I'm not shaking. But I have a constant headache and stomach ache. Ran out of orange juice, sure part of it is the withdrawal from the sugar in the wine.

That counselor left me a message yesterday from the outpatient program. I've decided I will see her again and left her a message. However I have put myself on "house arrest" this week.

I will be taking the 500 mg of antabuse tonight at bedtime, it removes any doubt about me drinking.

Today it's cold and dreary in my area. I spent some time online, watching tv, and also had to clean my stalls and tend my horses. Normally I get a lot more done (even when I'm drinking lol) but I've got to lay low today. Hopefully I will feel better tomorrow. I have 3 horses and 3 ponies that can really use some riding and or lunging.

Thanks for reading!!

Remember that detox can sometimes be problematic for some of us flyingmane.
If you have any concerns at all, please see your Dr.

I think I will be okay. If not there is a good doctor in my town that accepts walk ins. This is the worst it's been although I did get the shakes a few times in the past. It more feels like my electrolytes/blood sugar levels are off. DH will be home soon with orange juice, I've been drinking plenty of water. Not sure what I should be worried about otherwise...Thank you for caring!

Water. That was my drink. I would buy bottled water by the 24 pack and loaded them in the fridge. I sipped constantly, ate dinner earlier (and plenty) and lost about ten pounds in two or three weeks.

Good luck!

I'm not a Dr - but I think it's common sense really....

if you're really ill, dehydrated, or especially if you're disorientated or delirious or having heart palpitations, hallucinations or cramps, convulsions or seizures, the need for a Dr is pretty self evident.

Use yr own judgement or those with you as your guide

Way to go on day 2! Be sure to get some good food and vitamins (especially the B vitamins). I took it easy for a couple days (spent a lot of time on SR). Sleeping can be difficult at first, but it gets better each day.

Hang in there!

Welcome flyingmane... I LOVE horses, I was raised with them, beautiful animals.

Congrats on day 2... hang in there. I am glad to hear you are drinking lots of water, it is good for detox. If you are a tea drinking it also helps. I also found hot baths with Epsom salts helped, as well. If you are ever in doubt about your symptoms or how you feel see a doctor right away... is always the safest thing to do.

Keep us posted on your process and stick around SR... it works. Read and post.. I look forward to getting to know you.

Sending hugs...
