10 days and Over Confident!
Yeeees, never thought I could make it this far.
DOUBLE FIGURES!!!
Could not have got anywhere near without the support and advice I have found here on SR
The only help I have received and the 1st time I have EVER done more than 2 days since my problem kicked off many moons ago!
Not recommending anyone else doesnt seek f2f help, AA etc, Im keeping them in my locker incase of a weakness in coming weeks/months.
(I know its early days, going to stop counting now, well stop keep bragging about it anyway LOL, I just needed this milestone so bad!!)
I can now begin to see clearly and have no self issues with living the rest of my life sober, without a drop.
If I can go 10 days I can go as long as I like IMO. I'm no longer scared by that thought, spent 10 days thinking of nothing else till my head has spun senseless!
I know many more experienced people in recovery may be saying, woohhaa, slow down kidda... well... old man maybe.... Hehe.
Maybe you are right, but please dont pi** on my parade
I understand things may change after I come down off the 'Pink Cloud'?
And I post this after my 1st day as a non-smoker! Life getting sweeter by the day, just hope I can keep off the Ciggies!
(Big test when my GF gets in from work soon ROFLMAO)
THANK YOU everyone
We can all do this!
Stay Strong

I am just so excited that YOU ARE SO EXCITED!!! Do not listen to anyone that tries telling you about the imaginary pink cloud. I have been so happy about my sobriety and it does not stop. I wish that for you as well!!! WAY TO GO ~~~~

I don't know if you have to worry about being overconfident too too much. If you have a sense of humility and keeping your attitude in check, then that is a good start to me. It is worth it to allow yourself some credit (slight elation here and there) over the change you are making. There is a variety of experiences on Pink Cloud and different opinions on what exactly it is and when, but I would think this feeling of yours can stick around for several weeks. For me it changed and would expand and contract. Congrats and keep going!
