Kinda funny moment tonight Hi all. Good news, I had my first sober birthday last week and today is day 140.
Tonight my 10 y/o was whining and I told her, "Hey cutie, Mommy doesn't drink wine anymore and you are too young, so remember there is no "whine" in this house." She kinda smiled, and it broke the tense moment.
Not making light of my situation, but frustration with my daughter or my step kiddos are HUGE triggers for me. I had a hard moment a couple of hours later where I could almost taste wine in my mouth.. Remembering how "good" it felt. ha! Lie!
I reminded myself immediately, that the "good" was a cunning, horrible lie.. I also conciously remembered the mornings of guilt, shame, headache, heartache, etc. etc...
So I am working my program, reading lots on here, praying a lot and hanging on. One day at a time.

congrats o your time and Happy Birthday! i think you dealt with your trigger great.
those thoughts just seem to pop out of nowhere, they can sneak up and sucker punch me too....I have gotten much better at fightinng them off.
