need some hope
hi
new here. 28 yrs old about to get my ba. married with a wonderful husband and 20 mo. old son. and relapsing slowly on pain pills. not alot but enough to scare me. have in the past had three yrs sober. I feel like i will never escape this feeling. the urge has come back so strong lately and i dont want to do this again. come from a long line of family addiction. and i want better for me and for my family. my depression was my trigger this time actually all the time. (on meds for this). I just need the inspiration /hope that long term sobriety and recovery is possible....bc right now it feels like its not.

Hi blackcat
Welcome
I think support is vital - you'll find a lot of support here. You might also like to check out our substance abuse forum.

What about real life support as well - have you seen your Dr? or you interested a recovery group like NA?

Welcome to SR ((Blackcat))! You don't have to go back down that road again. My relapse was about 2 weeks, did a lot of damage, but I got back on "recovery road" and that's been a few years ago.
SR has been a huge part of my recovery. Glad you're here!
Hugs and prayers,
Amy
