new to recovery..... again
So long story short, I went to treatment in 2008 without a hitch, Went 18 months sober and sank back into the pit. I just kicked it again after 7 months of about a pint per day. It has been a little over three days and I have yet to have any more than a slight anxiety feeling. I am just really hoping that this will not be one of those delayed onset things and that I just got really lucky this time. I had no withdrawals in treatment either, but I always heard that it gets worse every time. I hope this finds you all well and thanks in advance for any comments you can share or any advice on what to expect...

The only good thing about the alcohol dreams is that you get to be relieved when you wake up and realize you didn't really drink. I remember that from the first time around... Unfortunately that's all I remembered.
Welcome Hodgie

Welcome hodgie, and thanks for joining us! With that much alcohol-free time in your past, there's no reason you can't get the wagon rolling again; you've already done it. Any plans on how you may do things differently this time around, to avoid sinking back into the pit?
Thanks again for being here. I'm glad you are.

day 4
Well day four now and still feeling fine. No shakes, no fog, sleeping 8 hours a night. Perhaps my body was just ready for this. Or maybe it helped that I took a multi-vitamin daily when I was drinking. Whatever it is, I am thankful that it is going well. Thanks SR!!
