45 days sober today.
Last time I tried to quit I drank on day 45. So tomarrow is special to me I have triggers to drink but get pass them. When I think about a drink I stop in my tracks and think how bad things will be if I do so. Feeling great. My mind is clearer. I go to work and not have to hide my shaky hands. I am still craving sweets which when I drank I never ate sweets but now its crazy. Hope this will pass. I know my body was use to getting sugar ffrom wine so I just need willpower on cookies. Can't wait to wake up tmrw and say. YEAH made it past day 45. Thanks for all of your help and kind words helping me when I need it.

That's wonderful news bochuck! As far as the sweets, I had that craving for months afterward. Never really was a sweet eater either, but there I was sucking on tootsie pops, any kind of candy I could get my hands on. The craving faded after awhile, though. You're doing great!

Great job, Bochuck! Just think: now that you've passed that 45-day mark, every day from here on out is a milestone for you!
I also had the sweets craving when I stopped drinking. I'm just over 9 months now without a drink and didn't even realize until I read your post that the cravings are much less than they used to be. So, yeah, I guess they do get better in time.
