90 days for Untox
Wow, thanks guys - I really mean it. Everyone here has been such a lifeline in this pilgrim's journey. Looking back, even those people that I originally thought were real richardheads were simply pushing people out of the way and yelling, "CLEAR!" as they charged up the defibrillator to shock me back to life. It's in-credible.
What started out as an experiment to quit drinking for 30 days has turned into a commitment to start living sober for the rest of my life. I realized that I am just not a responsible beverage holder. I don't hold it well in my hand, my head, or my heart.
The amount of knowledge and wisdom I've learned from this site could fill a novel (and perhaps one day it might). From the N/A beer threads to the God the Father?, god the toaster?, or gahdahmat I drank again! threads. It's a privilege to share the journey.
If I could thank you all for just one thing though, it would be for helping me to believe in myself and love myself again. I thought my fire had gone out but you, determined to show me otherwise, blew on that tinder until it sparked. Wise as you are, you instructed me that I had to do the rest if I wanted a fire.
From the bottom of my newly humble and grateful heart: thank you, thank you, thank you.
