Just introducing myself

Hi, I'm new here to soberrecovery. Been sober 11+ years although not active in local meetings, mostly because I live in chronic pain. I somehow have trouble connecting & that keeps me livin' life on the sidelines. I hope to make some much needed progress here!

wow, congrats on 11 years of sobriety! That's no small feat...

How did you manage to put together 11 years of sobriety? There's a lot of people here who would love to know, myself included!

Welcome jenslites! Congrats on the sober time. If you are not able to get out, SR may be that much more of a fit for you. Look forward to getting to know you.

The biggest thing that kept me sober is my memory.....when I got the urge to drink, next thing I'm thinkin' is.....I don't want to go back to where drinking put me. I'm grateful I can still remember how awful my life was when I was drinking.

Thanks everyone for your greetings & caring words! I'm not even sure how I found you (SR) but I feel that's how God works...it doesn't matter how.....God just gets me to where I need to be.
