I am sure it is out there, a silly new user question

People here use a lot of acronyms when posting.

AH = alcoholic husband
AW = alcoholic wife

what are the others that are used?
Thanks

Which ones are you unsure about? ODAAT is one day at a time... I know I puzzled over that one a while.

ODAAT, when I was in relapse and would come read posts while drunk, got me. I saw it a lot and thought it must be the most awesome member here, everyone was talking about him. haha

Thanks least...I'll have to find a way to save that link...when I need to look it up it won't be there. I had no idea what ODAAT was...thought it was like a cheer or something. I get confused when people refer to their partner....can't think of any off hand...think maybe DH? Of well...I'll save the link if I can.

Not a silly question at all.

Haha. Lots of times I could use this list. Need to print it and tape it to my wall. I thought I had them down until I heard someone talking about their "4-year old DD" yesterday. I thought "that can't possibly be '4-year old divorced daughter.'"

That thread is on page two of the help and troubleshooting forum. Or you can 'save' the thread using the 'thread tools' drop down menu. I email important threads to myself so I'll always be able to find them.

When I came here I didn't know what any of that stuff meant! Still learning... I make up a lot for myself too, like: FFD (former foster dog) and LDD (little diabetic dog) and DK (defiant kid) and CK (college kid)...lol

CT = Cold Turkey (for the longest time I thought it meant Controlled Taper - very, very different)
