When I loved myself enough...
ABE books.com has several booksellers with copies of this book. My sister just ordered me a copy. The book itself was only a dollar and the shipping a bit more than the book. It should get here in a couple weeks. I am anxious to read it as I have always had problems loving myself or feeling any selfworth. Thank you for introducing it. I look forward to reading it.
When I loved myself enough, I learned to let go of people who were taking without giving.
And I learned to do so without feeling guilty, responsible or at fault about their actions.
And I learned to do so without feeling guilty, responsible or at fault about their actions.
When I loved myself enough it was the magic and mystery of a new day, the sunlight on my childhood pillow, the rivers of laughter as we ran through our fields of delight, the taste of salt on my skin on a sea day, the feel and scent of freshly cut grass as we stared into the sky looking for invisible stars. it was the power of loving and being loved. it was the power of the new.
Oz, thanks for starting this thread.
I wrote my own list of When I Loved Myself Enough in the journal I'm keeping since I've started working on staying sober for more than a week.
If I had any money I would be all up in this book's business.

This is an awesome thread Oz I need to purchase this book immediately.
It's amazing when I'm clean, how much better I feel about myself.
In the words of The Lighthouse and the Whaler:
"I will be enough, I have been enough"
Sometimes we expect more out of ourselves than we have any right to.
And one more quote
"Believing in our hearts that who we are is enough is the key to a more satifying and balanced life"
-Ellen Sucetim
Take care and love yourselves <3

Wow this is uncanny. I came across your post Oz today and it got my attention too.
It was only last night I was talking about this subject with someone. We were watching something on TV and I said,- I have read somewhere, If you love yourself unconditionally and accept its ok to be yourself and not worry about what other people think, then you can love everyone else around you..without judgement.
Then I said, but I havent quite given myself permission to do that yet....
Im going to keep reading the posts here, and work out why? Oh Oz, I am learning about loving me.
