Hopeless7

Well I finally decided to quit drinking first. One thing that destroy my mom and dad. Not quit sure how I feel. I been getting these headache since I stop, but ill give it a week before I start complainning. I sure hope this helps.

Congradulations on your progress so far. Just take it one day at a time. Today is day the begining of day 4 for me.

I am on day 6. I would have a week but last Sat. I had 2 beers left and felt so uptight I drank them. I stayed with it. I have had meetings about my grandson's speech problems. This week and not many answers. I wanted to drink, but did not. I wanted to drink today also, but came home took my grandson sledding and we built a snowman. I would have done those things with him before but I would have had wine before we went outside and plenty more when we came in. I enjoyed it sober. I hope the urge to drink wanes. I actually visualized a amber beer in great clarity one day this week it was weird. Good luck and hang in there.

Hi Hope! I am on day 11 myself. My husband is on day 12 and said he got a headache today. I think it's common even though I haven't gotten a headache.

I am glad you have decided to do this.

Proud of all you "early" recovery folks; it is so wonderful to hear the joy in your posts. Reminds me of my first days...the surprise of exceeding two days, which I hadn't done in 30 years of drinking...and the excited expectation of the next sober day. And here I am, at four months. Unbelievable!

Well, I'm on day 4. I didn't think I could get to day 2 or 3 or 4! But I'm doing it. I get the headaches and the "out of sorts feeling", but I must say, I would much rather have these symptoms than the major hangover followed by a huge greasy lunch just to feel better to get lit again and start the whole cycle over!
