An alternative to AA

Hi I'm new here and as the post says I am looking for an alternative to AA, not that I have anything against AA, it's a very good program, I'm just looking for input is all

Hi and welcome!

Many of us here are sober without AA (me)...there are whole sections on the forum dealing with it. Check out the Secular recovery section. Sorry I can't link....but I am on my phone

There are many options for recovery, as listed below.

I use SR as my main resource.

Welcome to the site! I'm staying happily sober using weekly counseling with my addiction counselor and SR. When I was finally ready to get sober, nothing could stop me.

using this website would be best for me, just for the fact that the nearest meeting for me is 25 miles away in each direction, there is one in my town but not alot of anonymity, not that I care if people know I'm an alcoholic, but what is said needs to stay there..so i will read posts here, and be hanging with you fine people

Welcome. I use SR that's about it. Different things work for different people. For me, I never really had that physical addiction or downward spiral; just felt my life would be better without alcohol. I also journal a lot.
