First clean Christmas
This is my first clean Christmas since I was 15ish, I am 21 now. I had no idea things got so crazy this time of year. Not being a kid and having mom or dad take care of it all is a little overwhelming. I'm going on 270 days clean and seem to have hit a wall of no determination what so ever. A friend suggested this place so here I am...

Hi Kelsey - congrats on 270 days clean - that's fantastic! I agree that the holidays can be overwhelming (and all that partying going on doesn't help). Christmas was pretty magical when I was a kid, too, and I've since had to become the mom that does everything. It's definitely not the same, but I just try to think about the "giving" (whereas it used to be about the getting!)Take it as it comes and keep doing whatever you've been doing, cuz it sounds like you're doing great!!

Welcome Kelsey! Yes you are in the right place. There are tons of great people here.
For myself, this will also be my first clean Holiday season since around the age of 15. All of my past Holiday seasons were full of using and drinking and relapses. Thanks to people like the folks here on this site and in the rooms of AA or NA I can say that I won't take drink this year... As long as I follow the principles and suggestions that I have picked up and learned from the rooms everyday.

Welcome Kelsey! Wow, 270 is a strong quit you've got going there! it's going to be my first sober xmas too, and I don't yet know how I will manage.. just going to have to take it hour by hour and keep myself busy.
