Saying hello
I would get to the ER and tell the docs there. I am an addict who has OD'd many times and have not been judged for it-- and there is more stigma attached to drug overdose and addiction than there is to alcoholism, I think. Best to be honest with the docs-- I am not one to make doctors out to be anything more than human, but I do think there are things worth trusting them with.
How are you doing? Is your BF still with you?

Hi all,
I am OK. I am at work and made it only 30 min late. I did not have any alc last night. I am on day 2! I am safe while at work so my worries will begin again around 5 PM.
I feel edgy, jittery, hungry but so far so good. My heart jumped couple times last night but nothing too out of the ordinary. My palms sweat a little but I can still work. Thank you for all your support. Be back in couple of hours to give an update.

Yea! Good to hear you got through! One day at a time, and don't worry about the rest of it.....
One thing that helped me a bit was treating myself to carryout from a favorite restaurant each evening during that first week - it gave me something to look forward to, helped give me energy/nutrients and helped with the cravings (drinking messes with our blood sugar) and I was really hungry anyway.
And remember how good you'll feel in the mornings,....... that really motivated me too.
