6 months !!!!

Yesterday I celebrated six months being sober. I spent a lot of time on here early on and I just wanted to say thanks to all those who share their victories and set backs on this forum. I doubt I would have made it to this point without SR.

Congrats on 6 months! For me, the last 30 years of off & on using flew by, and the last 97 days sober have gone soooooo slow. I guess I'm just more aware of time.

Congatulations on 6 months Marcus. I have the same sobriety date as you and like you could not have done it without SR. Anyway well done again and here's to the next six months.

Marcus , CONGRATULATIONS !!

Professional counselor told me long ago, when I asked about length of time sober and their implications.

She didn't hesitate, and said:

"there's no magic number, and no gaurantees of continued sobriety, but when someone gets to 6 months , I know they're serious "

Again, congrats on an important milestone !?!

Thank you all so much for the support. I just wanted to add, that because of the positive changes they have seen in me, my younger brother and one of my co-workers have stopped drinking also. Swapping negatives for positives, that's what I'm talking about. Happy Sober Holidays all !!!
