I had been talking with Dallas off and on, but now his cell phone is turned off.
I know he has been struggling.
Anyone have an update on him? He has not been around here much either.....

Where else can you find
genuine care and concern
for others in recovery then
right here in soberrecovery.
Each day I return here
for inspiration from others
traveling the same road
of recovery as I, learning
from each other thru sharing
our own experiences,
strengths and hopes of what
it was like before during and
after drugs and alcohol.
It doesnt matter if you
are at day one or many
one days at a time down
the road. We are all just
one drink or drug away
drunk or addicted to that
drug.
Coming here to SR keeps
us from from returning to
that merry go round
or roller coaster ride
of confusion.
Latch on or hook on
to anything or anyone
that will carry you thru
recovery so you never
have to go thru this
alone.

Thank you for a great post aasharon. It is always sad to not hear from the people we care about, but the most important motto is 'keep coming back, no matter what'. I have been in that position many times and am so glad now that I kept making that decision, so I can't emphasize that enough to others here. (((Thinking of you Dallas, please check in again soon. None of us has to carry this burden alone, or try to work it all out for ourselves.)))
