30 days sober

I was wonderin if anyone has had a similar experience. I have not had a drink in over 30 days. I have noticed that I am very tired and withdrawn. I went to the docs and they ran a blood test. The results were low testosterone. I was wondering if anyone else has had this and has theirs rebound. I am not looking for medical advice just similar stories. Thanks. My level is 230.

Not familiar with testosterone levels being related to drinking and/or quitting. What did the Doc say? It will take a while for your body to adjust. Nice job with goin 30 with no drink.

yes, I am very familiar with this. I doubt you sobriety has anything to do with it. normal test ranges are from 250 - 800 depending on your age.

depression, fatigue are both classic symptons of low test. there are treatments for this. PM me if you want more info.

EArly recovery can often be a rough road to travel, with feelings and energy levels going wildly up and down. I hope you start feeling better soon.

I remember getting really tired around that time and it lingered for a while. It scared me a bit because it seemed like it had to be connected to the cessation of drinking - and I wondered whether that could have other stuff behind it (it can be dangerous not to involve medical attention when quitting). That topic, along with the astonishment at having quit for several weeks, is what got me curious enough to look into it online, and that's how I wound up here. I noticed the energy level increased eventually and it had a lot to do with staying physically active. But I wouldn't say that applies to everybody, that's just what I found.

Then on testosterone, I wouldn't have the first clue what those numbers mean!

Way to go on your early sober time....

Many doctors suggest having a check up at 6 months
the concept is that it takes time for leveling off.

Try eating healthy foods....drink a lot of water...begin walking.
All 3 will benefit you or did me anyway....
