Wife's hangover a relief for me
Wife's hangover a relief for me
Last night I cooked some tomato sauce and added, as always, half a bottle of red wine. Meaning there was half a bottle left. Which my wife drank. Today she was hungover. I was not and man, oh, man was I ever friggin' grateful for that. Nothing I hated more about alcohol than hangovers.
My wife's not an alkie, doesn't drink most days (now that I quit). But I'm definitely an alkie, and my wife's pain was my positive reinforcement today.
She left for a yoga class a little while ago, which should help her feel better. Yoga helped my hangovers somewhat when I drank. Better yet, just don't get a hangover to begin with.

Yea I know for sure when I drank there was absolutely no way in hell I was going to be able to get up the next day and do yoga or go exercise or do much of anything really. Hungover for me was lay in bed all day hating myself and hating life. No way a half a bottle of wine would do that either, but I guess if you rarely drink it could.
Har. Actually, when I would wake up from an all night binge of vodka and crack, I'd rush for the kitchen and eat a bunch of plain yogurt. Kept the nausea down and not eating all the day before (crack kills the appetite) made me hungry. If you don't like the plain kind of yogurt, you might give plain goat-milk yogurt a try, which I find very tasty.
