Under 30 recovery
The past few days have been a bit tough, I'm a person that drinks out of boredom.
But something was telling me just to give up, just to come back to the drink. Either way i did not cave in, and i continue to keep going forward.

The scariest thing for me is that I have met every significant other I have ever had in a drinking environment, then go through cycles where I dont drink because I am dependant on my relationship to keep me out of the night life. It is a sad way to live because every time the relationship ends I end up going back to square -2 meaning it only get worse every time.
I guess it is fear of being alone or something, or the fear of missing out on my youth.

well gingertea when you are ready again, pick yourself up again and give it another go.
Milwaukeeguy i was just talking to someone last night how i am always involved in constant relationships, and when i don't have one it feels like i am missing a part of me

Hi everyone! Day # 24 here. Yesterday was tough but I stayed sober YAY!
It was the first time to be with drinking sisters. They support my sobriety, but I admit it was different (and hard) to watch them drink. But my drinking problem isn't their problem, it's MY problem.
Hope everyone has a peaceful, sober day

Congrats on staying sober betterlife! I was able to survive Xmas sober as well. I woke up this morning and actually remembered a holiday for the first time in 10yrs, it's a pretty good feeling. Making it thru Xmas was huge for me being that it was a holiday surrounded by booze and still pretty new on day 10 today.
christmas was pretty easy for me, so many people to talk to and what not. It was not a trigger for me at all.
I believe i am on day 80 exactly today, pretty solid feeling
Congrats to everyone for staying sober,
