It's a date
I put my sobriety date in my profile. With the help of all the inspirational people here on SR I feel that this time I can make it.
I am on Day 11 and have a strong determination to remain sober. My life continues to be extremely stressful, but instead of feeling sorry for myself and attempting to relieve the stress with drinking I realize that the drinking creates even more stress. My husband continues to drink, that is his choice. I will do anything in my power to help him if he decides to quit drinking, but I'm not willing to let his drinking destroy me. I know that my drinking was my choice and my choice alone, but he really encouraged my drinking because he's not ready to quit.
I will do everything I can to continue to stay determined, it took a long time to put that date in my profile
. I continue to play the tape through to the end (thanks Dee) and not drink today.
