Time to change my way of thinking
Hi Everbody, my hubby introduced me to this forum and recently became a member. We both need all the help we can get to change our life style. All my life I have been addicted to something, starting with mini thins ending with alcohol. My whole life I have found no reason not to have fun in that way, I have always thought life is worth a party, if you don't hurt anyone, why not? I have realized my actions have an affect on my daughter. I thought that even though I hated my mother for drinking all the time, I was better at it and not at all like her. I guess when you're drunk you're drunk no matter who you are. I have been sober about twelve days and I am trying to focus on the fact that I don't need my addictions and can move beyond that. I am at a point in my life where I have to much time on my hands and you know what boredom can lead to. So, with the help of this board and anything that will uplift me to do better I will feast on. Anything to change my way of thinking! I hope I can help others too on this board, a good support system is what I need. I hope you all have a Great Thanks Giving
