Hi Ive been addcited to opiates for 2 years now and im 29 yrs old. Started with vicodin for about 6 months and the last 1 1/2 years been taking between 40-60 mg of oxy a day. I know not a huge amount but I am physically and mentally addicted. I finally broke down and cried to my mom a few weeks ago and told her I was addicted to them. She has been worried sick for me everytime i talk to her. So i am ready to get this demon out of my life.

So right now I put myself on a tapering plan.. lessen the amount i take daily by 5 mg every week until Im down to nothing. Right now im at 40 mg and can feel the slight effects of withdrawl. Is there any other pills or otc meds i can take to help during this time? I have some xanax and tramadol on hand. Any advice would be greatly appreciated. BTW Im knew to this board and thank god there is something like this.

Have you discussed things with a Dr? I think that's the best option for you.
