Hi BigRed, sounds like you're doing well so far. The early days are so rough sometimes but I think it's great that you did some exercise. I find that when I exercise I feel concerned about compromising my exercise regimen with a drinking session. Keep eating healthy, too! Our self-esteems are so important to maintain. Best of luck.

Welcome, bigred - Those first few days aren't fun, but it gets a little better all the time. If someone wants you to go out, just tell them you're under the weather (which would be true, right?!)

I did the same thing discoveringme did - I just treated myself like I had the flue and rested, drank alot of water, took a bunch of vitamins, good food, and hung out here. By day 3 or 4 I was feeling much better and really proud of myself.

You're gonna love the mornings without a hangover, too!

Hey bigred...hows it going? I just got home from a fantastic sober dinner with friends...the reason I am sharing this is because you will get there too! The are not recovery friends but one friend is a week away from 15 years sober...he is 44.

Check in whenever you can....you have an amazing cheerleading squad here at SR :-)
