hi there
hi there, my name is kev, have had on going probs with alcohol for some time! am on day 4 of not drinking and finding it hard on times, hoping you lot can help me beet this :-)
Four days here too.
For me this is not the first time I've started on four days sober. The best advice I ever got for the first days/weeks is keep your focus just on getting through the day without a drink. When you wake up the next day, do it again. Eventually, you just start to get into the swing of it and sobriety starts to happen.
Glad you're here and hope we can do whatever we can to help. You're in good company here. And don't worry.

Welcome! The first week is the hardest, so do whatever it takes to hang in there. I logged lots of hours on this forum and it really helped. I know it's hard to believe right now that it will be worth it, but give it time. Think of some new rewards you can give yourself and look forward to each day and definitely take it one day at a time, like Isaiah said.:ghug3
Welcome Kev! Glad you are here and you will find lots of info and tons of support at SR.
We all started with just one day my friend so you are definitely in the right place and way to go on putting down the bottle.
Sobriety is amazing and you can do this. You have our support.
