I'm still here! 56 days and counting.
Well all I can say is I never thought I would make it this far. But I did and for all of you starting out, every day will get easier and easier. I know I have along way to go before I can say I'm recovered, but some of the obstacles I've recently over come, are pretty amazing.I have no Problem going I to a pub with friends and having club soda instead of beer, I have fun without the booze. I hosted thanksgiving dinner (Canada) for my family bought wine, served wine, had no Inclination whatsoever to have any. It's very strange how easy it is once you say no,, enough is enough. I have a new job, money I. The bank, and have a good relationship with my family. I can't believe how fortunate I am. What makes it easy now is there is absolutely no choice, I do not drink, not now, and not ever again. Life can be so wonderful, and rewarding. Thank you everyone who supported me in my early days, you are all gods children, he is watching over us , and wants us to succeed. God bless

Whoo hoo! Thanks for the update! 56 days is awesome and its great to hear how comfortable you are in your sobriety. Thanksgiving I wnuld drink all day while I cooked and then not eat...it will be fun to actually eat the dinner this year...lol!
