Thumbs up one more day

Hey, Just checking in.. day 49, at my conference. booze has been everyone!!!

felt sorry for myself when I saw how everyone but me had alcohol with dinner. After dinner, worked on service project in the hospitality suite... booze was flowing, but I did not feel the need.

I was talking with one lady and her breath smelled horrible from all the wine that she had been drinking.... that was that me, 49 short days ago...

I know it is only a grain of sand on the beach of sobriety, but I am grateful to be here, to have SR and to be able at least for one more day to say "no."

Thanks for listening...

Stay strong - today is literally my first day of sobriety. I could not imagine having to be around people drinking (even socially) at all - at least right NOW :-)

thanks for sharing, and godspeed

Not drinking is something I've never regretted....
You will most likely get more out of business trip ....sober.

maimai,

Good for you! I, like CarolD, have never regretted not drinking. I'm just about six weeks away from having my three years sober. It's great. Hang in there and just keep ticking off the days!

Love,

Lenina

Congrats on your sober time and big hugs for staying sober when alcohol was all around you.
