Enjoying my day off and looking forward to going to a meeting with my temp sponsor this evening!!
Just beginning to work through the steps although I have been sober for over 3 years. Excited about entering a new realm of recovery.

I feel great today! I went to my weekly apt, passed drug test w flying colors. So I am now off of Oxycodone 30's , oc 15's and xanex now for 11 days! The longest ever! I joined an outpatient rehab last wk and have been on suboxone and I love my new life. I just have to put all the pieces back together now. If anyone want to talk to me please do, as i have stoped talking to all of my "friends"! I put a few post on here but not many replies, so i would really like to talk! So if anyone has any extra time please talk to me! I hate to sound so pathetic but doing this all by myself is proving to b harder than i thought!

as the peices continue to come together you'll see that your be get better and better ... why did you stop talking to all your friends for ?

Well the reason I stopped talking to all my "friends" was because they are all users to. When lets face it you r a druggie, thats what you attract! I have talked to a few, still trying to get at least one to get on the wagon with me, but its just to hard when its in your face daily! Most I talked to and told them of my plans, they were not happy at all. They said I would be back I would never quit, and I was wasting my money on something so stupid. So to me they dont sound at all like friends! They want me to fail and its obvious that they dont care at all!

ohh ok i didn't know all your friends were useing, then it be better to stay away from them for now .. do you have any friends that don't use at all ? how about meetings do you go to any meetings ?

hi! It has been a gorgeous day here! The weather is cool, yet comfortable, the leaves are beginning to turn..the red maples are just brilliant.
I am so excited to have a dishwasher...I just made a good down home dinner and have no dread of the awful dirty dishes! LOL

I am fantasizing about pumpkin recipes...wanting pumpkin custard, I think.

Today's newspaper was chock full of activities.

AND, reading a community services article today..there is a program where volunteers call the elderly daily just for checking in and to combat loneliness..isn't that cool?!
My mate suggested I might want to do that.

I hope you are able to make new sober friends that are excited about life!
