gonna b hard

Its gonna be hard because I carpool to and from work with guys who like to drink on the way home (hour and a half commute). I have no other option right now but ride with them. Maybe Odouls or coffee will help.

Can you ask them not to? It's illegal anyway. Right?

Good luck and try try try to be strong.

I would pretty much do anything it takes to protect my sobriety.. Sounds like you need to find a different way to work, what a horrible car ride!!!

If they're drinking on the way home, either in the car or stopping for drinks on the way, that makes them dangerous drivers and I sure wouldn't want to be riding with them any more...

I used to do that a lot - now I understand how silly and dangerous it really is.

To your point Crush - I had to change who I was. That, especially in the beginning, meant changing my people, places, and things.

By no means am I saying it's going to be easy or that this means you have to find another way to work, but just understand that you may have to make some drastic, unexpected changes in your life to obtain solid, long lasting sobriety.

I know I did and it wasn't all pretty at the time I did it, but it's working out.

Faith is hard to believe, but that's sort of the trick, isn't it?

you are going to be miserable even if you make it out without drinking. It's like boxing with your enemy but not being able to throw a punch.

Hi crush

I drove with drinkers (drivers and passengers) for 20 years - now I realise how utterly ridiculous, selfish and stupid that was - it was dangerous not only for us but for all the other folks on the road as well. That we never had an accident amazes me.

Drive yourself or find a new pool, Crush.
