Day 4 having been sober 3 weeks I have looked around and found the best aa group i could find. The number in it is small to medium. The age bracket is both young and old. There are both men and women there. It is somewhere that I can recover. My first and second aa meetings were anonymous compared to this one. I got 2 phonecalls over the past 3 days from new friends that i met there. One man is a really fantastic guy and he rang me yesterday and talked about the growth that happens when you take the 12 steps. i really believe him, he wasnt just talking remand bs. If you are struggling with comming to terms with your alcoholism and you go to a couple of meetings that dont click with you. Go to the next town and look there. Keep looking until you find somewhere that you feel part of. |
Thanks for sharing your positive experience with us. I'm so pleased you can relate to AA....:yup: It's been and is an awesome advebture in living for me. |
