Hi Im Sharon and Im an
Alcoholic.

By the grace of my HP an
people like you here in SR
I havent found it necessary
to pick up a drink of alcohol
since 8-11-90.

For that and you I am truely
grateful.


Have you ever just wanted
to speak your mind to ur
family, friends, whom ever?

I know for me I can't change
the way folks think about me
and my life. Acceptance is
the key to that door.

My friends and family all
know that Ive moved on
in my life, remarried, recovery,
etc.

They know im connected
to my recovery online as
well but don't seem to be
curious enough to come
here. So SR has been my
family who knows more
of me personally than they
do.

Reason being, I feel
comfortable here sharing
recovery with people just
like me. There's no judgment
that i know of with you
because i feel u accept me
just as I am no matter
what.

Anyway.....

I wanted to share or boast
on facebook about my Fall
day yesterday and each time
i began writing, my message
disappeared. Hitting the
wrong button.

I gathered maybe it was not
meant for me to boast to family
and friends like that.....or
maybe I didnt need to rub
it in. Who knows.

So I decided to play it
safe and share with u guys
just because yesterday was
an awesome Fall day down
here in Baton Rouge.

A hummingbird, one of 4
we have flew at arms length
right in front of me by surprise.

I smiled with excitement as
my spouse told me that he or
she was coming to thank me
for feeding them. Cool..!

I have 4....beautiful red
glass feeders in the yard that
has attracted 4 hummingbirds.
They r so cute..!

I never had hummingbirds before
so this is exciting and enjoyable
for us.

Then my husband finished
painting fenders for our Road
King which is a 2 tone red to
match. Very pretty trike kit now.

We took it for a spin around
the LSU campus and lakes where
many people were out walking,
jogging, playing frizbee, laying
out in the quadrangle....just
an awesome sight to see.

I know I don't need for my
family to know my business,
however sometimes I just want
to rub it in that, hey, im still
here and not a miserable so
and so you may think i am.

And on that note.....

Share your thoughts if you
wish so SR can join in an
boast as well....lol
