New to SR, but not to recovery...Hello!
Greetings all! Creeping up on 5 years of sobriety and needed to find some support from people "like" me. I have a very supportive family, but we don't talk about my addiction much as I make it look very easy on the outside. On the inside though I work my ass off to stay sober, having good days and of course horribly painful(mentally) days. Anyway, I'm very excited to be a member and hope to be able to contribute, having a positive impact on the group and myself.

HEY HEY Welcome to the recovery site for ppl like us , Isint it great to know youre never alone, i find it brillant to be able to log in here anytime of day or night & talk about the madness in my head, that no others but alkies/addicts understand!!!

I wish I found this site years ago. I had 5 years and then went back trying to moderate and now back to square one. I am on Day 24 and feeling confident I will stay this time. Been struggling the past two years, this is the longest I have gone AF since taking it up again 4 years ago.
You are very wise to search out support as I am proof no amount of sober time guarantees forever.

IMT-stick with it, you'll be at five years again in no time.
NEO-"massive achievement" You have no idea how good that just made me feel...seriously. I don't know that anyone has ever made me feel that good about being sober.
