Sometimes I just need to refresh myself by reading somew of the posts and blogs here, rather than post myself every time. I find it inspiring and helpful to know there are others travelling along with me. Something someone posted that really struck home was that you never wake up sober in the morning and wish that you'd been drunk the night before - talk about a 'light bulb' moment!

Just as an add on MSS, about a year ago, I finally told my doctor just how much and how often I drank... Once he realized what I was really getting to, he stopped writing down notes in my record as he did not want to jepordize (sp?) my health insurance or job clearance. Near the end of our discussion, he told me something that shocked me. I live in a relatively affluent area. He said he gets at _Least_ 5 regular patients a week, all with good jobs and good lives, coming in and telling him the exact same thing I just did! So, I and my problem are not as rare as I once thought!
