"Lit"
by Mary Karr....is an excellent book. I've got about a quarter of it left and I'm sad to be done with it!
It's about a woman who is a wife and mother to a young child. Her steps to sobriety mirror many of ours.
She tells her story with a sense of humor.
Worth a look.

I got this book in January and have read bits and pieces. Plan to read it in the coming months. Active drinking books are hard for me right now as it's so early (day 7).
Have you read any of her other memoirs? The first, about her childhood, was "Liars Club" which I read. There's a second one that I can't think the name of and didn't read. I read Liars Club a few months ago. It really sets up "Lit."
Years ago, I read Augusten Burroughs "Dry" which was excellent, as well as another one that someone mentioned in another thread. My memory is terrible anymore - yet another causualty of alcoholism.
