Oh and just to add to what others are saying. AA is hands down the most readily accessible program for getting sober. I'm making my own program up as I go along and so far it works for me, but I think that's more about how strange I actually am;-)

Shegirl, even if you're "not sure about AA" (which I wasn't) get a copy of the AA Big Book. Reading that book and practicing the steps were and are a tremendous help to me even though AA meetings are not for me.
