Lucky its such an underpopulated city otherwise there'd probably be loads of fatalities. I dont think there have been any recorded, although they havent gone through all the rubble....

Also, if it werent for the strict building codes in NZ (because of the faultlines) - there'd be a lot more damage.

NZ is pretty well prepared for earthquakes - theyre inevitable!

Prayers for all people in Christchurch and surrounding areas. I can’t imagine coping with such devastation. Prayers for strength and comfort…
