Hi all I am new
Today is the 5th day without a drop of alcohol I never thought it was possible but I must admit it was easier than I thought it would be. I know that I can do this - I am a very determined person and when I set my mind to something I will go out of my way to prove to everyone and myself that I will succeed Good luck to all who is in the same boat as me!!

Congratulations on your sober time. Yes, it can be done! And it makes it so much easier when you have the support of people who know what you're going through. Keep posting and reading - it has helped me immensely!

Hi Olli - Welcome! I too am new here - joined last week and am on day 11 without drinking - and very proud. You will find this group very very helpful and supportive. The best thing is that people are here for each other at almost any time of the day and into the night. You will feel like you know people after only a few days of reading and participation. We all share stuff in common and that makes for a special sense of kinship. You will notice how many people just read the posts which is great too. Personally I felt that jumping right in would be best for me - and it has been great sharing experiences. This group was very helpful in getting me to try an AA meeting.

Olli!You made the right choice and I like you're attitude.
Keep going forward with no alcohol and you'll love the new life style.
It sure is nice to have a straight head on your shoulders with no hangovers!
