The other day I walked down to the river and caught a 27" steelhead, not too shabby for being 2 miles from the center of a city with a population of 200,000. The coast and the Cascades are each an hour away. So it is easy to bug out, and pleasant to stay.

You are going from wide open spaces, to the beautiful hills! you are gonna love the fall. lots of people travel there to see the color in mid october.

Hehehe, yes Washington state. The first picture is from Indian Bar at Mt Rainier National Park.
The second picture is a mossy tree from the Hoh rainforest in the Olympic National Park.

The beach is 1.5 miles from my apartment and the weather is great during the summer.
