hello everybody
I have been around since July. I usually spend time reading posts and responses. I haven't posted yet because I always seem to find answers to my questions or concerns by reading. I already feel like I have so much in common with many of you and I am really grateful for this site.
I am 35 and I have been drinking on and off since I was 19. Took a few long breaks in the last seven years for my two pregnancies, and one in my early twenties after going through treatment.
I am very lucky to have two happy healthy beautiful children, and a loving patient husband. I want to be the best and healthiest I can be for them. They deserve nothing less. So yeah. No more drinking for me. I am officially on day NINE (yay!) And I have been feeling great. I was very sick and tired of being sick and tired. I'm over it.

Thanks for the warm welcome! 
I know I am in the right place. The first few days were a little rough with the anxiety and sleeplessness. But I have to say, coming here and just reading about how other people got through it, and seeing everybody cheer each other on was so encouraging. It most definitely helped keep me strong. (and continues to)

Welcome and so glad you decided to join... you will love being a part of SR. I, too, am new... just finishing day 8 and I have really felt great inspiration and encouragement from the wonderful people here.
