Snarf

Well gang, today I celebrate 150 days since I last had a drink. 150 days, nights, weekends, holidays, birthday, anniversary, baseball games, court drama, a divorce in the family, loved one going through cancer treatment, school, work, life in general...all without feeling it necessary to consume alcohol.

Thanks so much to my SR family for everything, every day. With SR, AA, support and love form friends and family, my Higher Power, and a positive outlook every single day, my life is better than I could have imagined 5 months ago. Hardships lie ahead, I know (including a court date on Monday...prayers and thoughts appreciated), but I now feel that I can tackle anything life throws at me in a responsible, adult manner. And every day without alcohol is better than any day with it.

Thanks so much for your words, guys. I actually had a chance this evening to share my "testimony" with some friends who hadn't seen me in a few months and came to see me at work. They were actually kind of shocked (in a positive way) with the change they saw in my physical appearance as well as my demeanor. That was a really great feeling.

Thanks again to everyone here. No matter what happens in my day, no matter what kind of crappy things get thrown my way, I always know that at the end of the day, I can pop open the ol' laptop and visit my friends here at SR. That's gotten me through more days than 1.
