Hi, I am still not sure where to post. I was wandering how long you have to wait after taking an opiate before you can take naltrexone? I went off methadone 15 mg in March. I was perscribed for chronic abdominal pain. Never did find the source of my pain. I have been in severe pain since. Although many people have helped me with wonderful suggestions on here, I ended up taking something for my pain for a weekend. I was able to actaully get some sleep without waking up in pain for the first time in forever. I have read that you have to wait to take naltrexone or it'll throw you into withdrawals, however in detox they did not wait. I am in a ton of pain and after only a weekend of taking opiates I feel like I am withdrawaling again. It may just be in my head. Anyone know anything about naltrexone?

Please go to your ER or talk to a dr.

It's against the rules here to give any kind of medical advice.

I hope you feel better.

Hang in there Angee and keep checking out your post. Someone will try to help in someway. I myself don't have any answers or suggestions. Don't give up though.

Keep coming,

Harry

edit: I see Anna replied. Good advice too.

Hi Angee

If you're worried or unsure about meds, or in constant pain like you are, it's in your best interests to talk to a medical professional.

Please go to your Dr, the ER, or any free clinics around.

You can also call a pharmacy and speak with a pharmacist about possible drug interactions. They are qualified to give that info.
