Heard a oldtimer ask in a meeting years ago directed at the newcomers, "What brought you to AA, it has to be one or maybe all of the L's: either, the liver, the lover or the law?"
I never forgotten that and could answer in my head at the time, that it was the law, (DUI) but now know it was also my 'relationships' with my husband and my son. (Thank god, no health issues.)
Amazing what we learn in recovery and about ourselves.
Glad 4 the second chance to do it right.

I've hear that one...and liked it........until another guy said there was really 1 "L" behind all those other "L's" - the Lord.
