Pain
I can't put my pain into words. I am losing one of the closest people in my life. It's so painful to watch someone you love suffer. I wish I could take away her pain. She is dying, slowly and my heart is crushed more by the day.
My heart is breaking.
How do I move forward with a broken heart?

I'm so sorry for the pain you are going through. Wish there was something I could say to make it easier for you. I will keep you and your loved one in my prayers. Try and take care of yourself. :ghug3
I'm sorry (((BC)))
The point is the right thing to do is to move forward, not pull over to the side of life and anaesthetise ourselves like we used to.
It's ok to feel pain and sorrow and grief. We're meant to feel those things.
And you'll find a lot of support here to help you through when you need it

I can't imagine how much you're hurting and hope you have a lot of support from others who are sharing the same pain. I found a website (just picked one off the net) that has some groups listed and a good summary of things we go through when we deal with grief and loss. I hope you're able to do some things to care for yourself while all this is happening. Hugs and prayers......

Sorry for you and your friend. How wonderful, though, that you can REALLY "be there" for her--not all fogged up in a booze cloud.
It's very painful to watch someone we love suffer. I think by comforting her, you will comfort yourself. When it's time to let go, you can do it.
Remember, we've got your back.

BC, I have you in my thoughts and prayers.
When I was having a difficult time....I opened up to my counselor about it. He gave me input that really helped me get through and it helped me understand me so much better.
He said what you are feeling are emotions and they are normal. To feel pain, loss, sadness and to worry and miss someone are part of who we are as people. For so long you used alcohol to hide and to cover emotions that now you are feeling them and it is ok. You will get through.
I have allowed myself in sobriety to feel these emotions and while hard as it may be....I am human and I am not weak experience these.
Huggs and stay strong my friend. We are here for you....especially in these difficult times.
