A.A. Works..

Hi My Name is John and i'm an Alcoholic.. if You Have The Desire to Quit Drinking and Improve The Quality of Your Life at The Same Time.. A.A. Could Be Right For You! ODAAT it Has Worked For Me Now (3.5 Years!) But You Got To Have an Open Mind!

It does, indeed.

Thanks, John.

I believe that AA does work. I have been sober for 20 months and work a secular 12-step program.

What i Have Heard Shared at Meetings From 89' and Beyond has Been Priceless.. Hearing The Gut Level Honesty of People Fighting For Their Lives Against The Deadly Affliction of Alcoholism.. Those Who Would Knock Meeting Attendance i View Very Suspiciously Indeed..

Bump..

What's with the AA public service announcement and then moving it up?

The thread title is AA Works; in 5 hours, it's had 67 views and 5 replies...3 of them yours, 24hrsaday.

What is the goal or motivation here? I don't get it.

I might be going out on a limb here, but maybe saving lives?

I'm sure they will allow for equal time for all the other recovery programs.

I was going to say, my LADAC saved my life but I don't find a public broadcast about it necessary, never mind moving it up.

I don't care to debate this; I can see where it would go.

Was just curious about the insistence of it but I get that also.

Hi, John! I think AA works for me. One of the most important things AA has given me is to search how I live after quit drink. I am searching quality of life as you mentioned.

Why Can't i Just Post This? What is The Big Deal?

So 24 wants to post about his belief that AA works. Is that so bad? So he wants to bump it...so what?

I'm sure if he posted that he quit working the program and relapsed......and posted a 5000 word essay about how it wasn't his fault because AA doesn't work, it was due to his divorce, marriage, loss of job, promotion at work, color of his skin, sexual orientation, etc etc etc there'd be plennnnnnty of attention to the thread. Interesting what garners attention sometimes....

We have Japanese sobriety society in Japan. They are not anonymous they proudly name their full names and write their name even on the internet. :) The method of their sobriety is just like Japanese soldiers. They stop drink with Japanese guts and spirits. Yes Japanese guts brings us some sort of quality of life. Lately such type of sobriety does not work with young Japanese.

I'm not sure what LADAC is, but why not broadcast it if it saved your life?
