I've been lurking here pretty much daily since joining at the end of May. It's been difficult for me to get past 7-10 days sober. Back at Day 2 again and feeling depressed, anxious and physically unwell. Struggling. That's enough *whine* for today

Have an appt. with my doctor for Fri. - I have to face my fears and see what physical damage has been done, also to get a referral to a therapist as I'm realizing i can't do this alone.

Sorry to hear you're not feeling well, poprocks - You're continuing to work at your sobriety, though, which counts for a lot, and it's great that you're seeing a doctor and thinking about therapy. I don't think I could stay sober long without my psychiatrist's help.

Hang in there and take it a day at a time (an hour at a time). Do you have some B vitamins? Drink plenty of water, too...... and know that you'll feel much better as time goes on.

Sometimes it takes several tries to get it right, and you're doing what you can today, so way to go!

Take it easy! Good idea to see a doctor. Am sure this time will be the good one! We on SR are all rooting for you and we are here to read your messages, so post away.

Glad you posted PR. I got counseling and it helped me a great deal. You have tons of support here and yes....for some of us it does take several attempts and you are reaching out friend because the desire for sobriety is so strong.

You will get there!! Keep us updated.
