42 hours clean and withdrawing I am having some serious withdrawals here with 42 hours clean, looking to get into treatment and I just need some support. |
One - I can so relate to the withdrawals. What is it you are coming clean from? If it's alcohol, I can assure you that the w/d's will end. Can you go more into detail what you're having problems with? |
Hi OWW - Those first few days are the hardest. I remember how hopeless I felt and how scary it was to think about facing the future without alcohol. I really didn't know what had happened to my life. It was like trudging through quicksand every day, trying to pretend everything was OK with me. It was a relief to give up and cry for help. I'm so glad you're thinking about getting treatment. Be patient and loving towards yourself and try to keep things as simple and easy as possible right now. We're here for you!!:ghug3 |
I personally didn't go through any serious withdrawls, however I've been told from friends on here that they can be very serious. It's always important to speak with your doctor when you are thinking of making a large lifestyle change, such as giving up drinking or drugs. Be safe and smart! :) |
You can do this OWW :) Best of luck with getting into treatment - I'm rooting for ya. D |
I am coming off DXM. I am about to leave for a meeting right now, but I am just really shaken up from this latest relapse as I was doing some other stuff too and the combination was just really hard on my body. I hope I can get into treatment, I am waiting on a call back from two different treatment centers. |
((OWW)) - I, too, am rootin' for ya!! I hope you get into treatment. Hugs and prayers! Amy |
I hope that you feel better soon! |
Sending up prayers that you start feeling better and get into treatment soon.:) |
Hang in there, and when it passes, which it will, do something for yourself, join us and recover. God Bless |
Best wishes that you find the strength to stay strong in your quest to stay sober..... |
