New to the Forum, 1 Year Clean and Sober on the 25th of July

Hey everybody!
This is my first day on this forum. A friend of mine referred me here to meet like minds. I will be clean and sober for 1 year on the 25th of July. What a difference a year makes. Though my life isn't perfect, I've never been happier.

I have come a long way from July 25, 2009. I have a past of alcohol and drug addiction. Brushes with the law and lost friendships. But due to the misery I self inflicted and the lessons I have learned, I understand who I am.

I think it's always important to see that some good has come from this very difficult lesson we've had to learn.
