Day 4: sober! Even throughout the weekend

so far so good, im having a cup of coffee and cleaning my kitchen currently. I coulndt do this without all of your support. I am trying to avoid "the robot" but so so far so good. thanks for all the support guys! Im actually doing this this time around, wierd......every time I had a craving I would think of all of you and how it would dishonor all the advice given to me here, so in a way you guys are keeping me sober!

thank you all and one love!

Good for you for getting thru the weekend. Keep on staying sober one day at a time and before you know it, sober will be your new 'normal'.

Having a nice cup of coffee this morning, too, with cinnamon-raisin toast, and thinking about how wonderful it is not to have a hangover. I usually check in every morning - it sets me up for a good day somehow....

Good for you for getting through the weekend - that's awesome. Every time you accomplish another feat, it will add to your confidence. It's taken a couple months for me, but I can now say that sobriety is starting to feel like the new norm..... Keep hanging in there - we're all in this together!!!

Good for you Serious!

I'm also having some coffee (only 2nd cup though). I've had to go from two pots to two cups just recently which I guess is not such a bad thing. But I have plenty of other beverages in the frig to choose from without the caffeine.

I find that logging in here every day (several times I may add) helps me get by. These people are such an inspiration and could not have done it without them.

When I got up this morning the first thought that crossed my mind was " it sure feels good not to wake up with a hangover and have to dash to the frig for a beer." It only gets better and easier.

Day 6 here we come!

I'm with you guys on the coffee. I'm trying to set up new routines in my life and one of those is getting up earlier to read the paper and have some coffee, only the delivery person decided I didn't need the paper this weekend, so I'm here which is definitely a great way to start the day! Keep on you're doing great!

Good for you, gotta love a clean house. Mine is so clean from my nervous self there's nothing left to clean!! (on day 12) I love coffee too but it has to stop at 2 cups or my already nervous self becomes flat out irritable!

Good job Mr. S, we keep each other healthy, that's what recovery is all about, it's impossible without others in the same situation. It's wonderful to be sharing with you and everyone here. Good job Mr. S

Way to hang in there. I know for experience that first week can be an uphill battle. I know it sounds like a broken record, but each day you stay sober makes the next day just a little easier.

Congrats! I know for me the weekends were hard at first. Even though I didn't just drink on weekends, that's when I felt least 'bad' about really partying it up. I also found that changing my routine, and trying new things really helped me get through tough times.

Hey, hey to day five! Congrats!

That day 4 was always a killer for me. I'd be over the hangover and decide I just drank like everyone else, like a shot or two of whiskey at 8am just to kick in the buzz before I started on the beer. Real social drinking, eh?

So, I'm proud of you for making it to day five. Trust me, it only gets better.

Keep it up! Just for today. Then, repeat.
