60 Days - Thanks All!
 

It's now a new day in my time zone, which means I have 60 days! I just had to share it with all of you, because without you, I know I couldn't/wouldn't have done it. So, it's as much OUR victory as it is mine.

I was trapped in a cellar of my own making, alone and thinking that's where I wanted to be. I could barely look people in the eyes anymore knowing that I was either hungover or planning my next drinking period. There was nothing I looked forward to more than being left to myself and my poison. I thought I enjoyed not feeling things, but numbing the bad also erased the good.

After 60 days, I've discovered my spirit and soul again. Yes, I was there all the time underneath the fog! Today I actually like myself and I am showing myself love for the first time in years, which is starting to extend itself out to my family and friends. I feel SO grateful and I just hope I can learn how to do this sobriety thing with the courage and strength I've seen in so many people here.

I know this is turning into a sermon, but it's only to say how deeply I appreciate all of you being here (When I started this post I didn't think I really had much to say, haha!). :ValD007: ODAAT!!!!!
